Man's Common Ancestor

If we go back 110,000 years ago, we will find man's common ancestor. That's a lot of genealogy searching. This is from Michael Hammer, Phd, a population geneticist. I found out that not only did my line of Goldfoots come from the Altai Mountain area of Central Asia; Siberia, Mongolia and parts of Turkey, but the Native Americans did also. We left at different periods and our dna diverged somewhat.

Actually, we are offshoots of haplogroup P which originated in the Middle East. Two offshoots of that were our group Q and R. That's how we got into central Asia.

Just think, all that migrating around included lots of walking. Considering that, it's a wonder how we spread out all over the planet. People must have been born with the wanderlust.
